Beginner Pass
Beginner PASS - Come and discover sewing during a 6-hour course at the Atelier! Discover how to use the machine, learn how to cut from a pattern and come and make your first dress and your lined bag. You have the choice of fabrics that are offered!
Morning from 10am to 1pm: The course begins with getting to grips with the machine and then testing on sample fabrics. We will cover: threading the bobbin and the bobbin, straight stitch and stop stitches, zig-zag, etc., sewing at 1cm. You will learn how to pivot at corners, make a hem, etc.
To make the bag, you will cut from a pattern, sew straight and at an angle, and learn techniques for lining the bag and creating a lined pocket, sewing handles and creating pretty finishes.
Afternoon from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Cutting and making a first dress, using the techniques seen in the morning. Assembly of the shoulders, hems of the neckline and armholes, assembly of the sides, installation of a casing with elastic then hem of the bottom.
You leave with your creations in the fabric of your choice!
